I Will Wait For You

Author Elisia Jades Malicdem | 9 July 2024

In English, we say: I will wait for you

But

In poetry, we say:

I'll always leave one light open so you can always find your way back home, even when the rest of the city loses its glow.

I'll keep the kettle boiling, the food warm, and the blanket neat.

So you could waltz in any time you please.

When your mind is weary, your body is dreary...

Drop by and get at least an hour of much-needed sleep.
